29: Keep Both Royals Until the Declaration
Under the pair rule used here, the king and queen of trump must still be held when declared. The partnership must also have won an eligible trick after trump is revealed.

Having held both earlier is not enough if the king has already been played. Before using either royal, consider whether a legal pair declaration remains possible and useful. Waiting has a cost too: keeping a card solely for the pair can surrender a needed trick. Check timing, possession and the contract together.
