A player two tricks above quota can pull two cards from under-quota opponents in the next deal, with a return card for each pull. Hands do not grow beyond ten simply because a player did well.
Record the exact surplus and deficit after play. During exchanges, complete each return before counting the final hand. The advantage is the opportunity to improve card quality, not permission to start the next deal with twelve cards against someone else's eight.
