A Forced Draw Is Not Always an Ordinary Draw

A rule can require a player to take cards without giving that player an ordinary choice of move. The number of incoming cards and the right to act afterwards are separate conditions.

A rule can require a player to take cards without giving that player an ordinary choice of move. The number of incoming cards and the right to act afterwards are separate conditions.

Use a practice rule that says: take two cards and end the turn. After taking them, the player cannot add a normal discard unless another clause permits it. Change the wording to take two cards, then play one, and the final hand size changes.

Follow the complete instruction rather than stopping at the word draw. Both versions add cards initially, but they differ in whether the turn continues. An animation showing new cards does not settle that difference.
