A player earns 8 points in practice and 6 in a qualifying exercise. A leaderboard that counts only qualifying exercises includes 6. The practice result still exists, but adding it would use a different inclusion rule.
Two checks before addition
First identify which activities belong to the ranking period and category. Then calculate the score using only eligible records. A correctly recorded result can still be excluded because it belongs to practice or to another period.
Visibility does not establish eligibility
An activity history may show both results so that the player can review them. Their presence on the same screen does not make them part of the same total. Equally, exclusion from a leaderboard does not prove that the practice result was lost.
The eight-point practice result remains in the personal history. The six-point eligible result is the only contribution to the leaderboard under this inclusion rule. A total of fourteen would combine different categories.
Qualification can depend on the date as well as the mode
Keep the six-point qualifying result, but place it outside the ranking period. Under a rule requiring both the qualifying mode and an in-period completion, it no longer belongs in that leaderboard total. The score remains a valid historical result. Exclusion here concerns the reporting window, not a claim that the player never earned the points.
