A Substitute Player Does Not Inherit Every Permission
A substitute may take over a seat under a competition's rule, but taking that seat does not answer every question about hidden cards and previous information.

A substitute may take over a seat under a competition's rule, but taking that seat does not answer every question about hidden cards and previous information.
In a practice format that allows replacements only between hands, a substitute joins after the current hand ends. The new player participates in the next deal. Moving the replacement into an unfinished hand would violate that timing condition even if the number of seats stayed unchanged.
Check the permitted entry point and what information the replacement may receive. A seat assignment, access to a concealed hand and permission to act are separate parts of a substitution procedure.
