Two hands can share three of a kind and the same highest spare card without tying. In this BET 213 teaching example, ordinary high-hand Hold'em rules compare the remaining selected cards in descending order. Suits do not break the tie.

Build both five-card hands

The community cards are 9♣, 9♦, A♠, 4♥ and 2♣. Player A holds 9♥ and K♠, making 9-9-9-A-K. Player B holds 9♠ and Q♥, making 9-9-9-A-Q. The nine of hearts and nine of spades are different physical cards, so both hands can exist in the same deal.

Compare only until a difference appears

Both selected hands have three nines. Their first kickers are both aces. The second kickers differ: king ranks above queen, so A's selected hand ranks higher under the stated rules. Comparing only the triplets and ace would stop too early.

The unused four and two do not supply further kickers. A five-card result has no sixth comparison card. The example concerns the ordered comparison of two completed hands, not a platform payout or a claim that BET 213 provides this mode.
