Classic Canasta: A Dealt Red Three Is Replaced
In four-player Classic Canasta, a red three dealt into the eleven-card hand is exposed and replaced from the stock. If the replacement is another red three, expose that too and draw again.

Priya's original eleven include 3♥. She lays it out and takes a replacement, keeping eleven cards for her hand after the exchange. Leaving the red three exposed without replacing it would leave her one card short.
Keep exposed red threes separate from ordinary melds. Their special handling is part of preparing the hand for play.
