Club INR: When Does a One-Action Skip Expire?

A temporary skip is meaningful only when the rules identify both its target and its duration.

Editorial note: This is a conditional card-rule teaching example, not a verified description of the named platform.

A temporary skip is meaningful only when the rules identify both its target and its duration. Consider a Club INR teaching scenario in which a marker cancels one named player’s next eligible action. It does not say that the player misses the rest of the round.

Trigger and consumption

The marker is created when its trigger is accepted. It is consumed when the specified eligible action is skipped. These may be different moments. If another player acts between them, that intervening action does not use the marker unless the rule explicitly says so.

After the skipped action, the marker has no remaining effect under this definition. Applying it again would turn a one-action restriction into a continuing one.

An unresolved edge case

What if the target leaves before the action arrives? The example has not answered that. It needs a clause saying whether the marker expires, stays attached to the seat or follows the participant. Do not transfer it to the next player merely to keep play moving. A short duration rule still needs a clear account of who carries the restriction.
