Before repeating the suit, compare what you gain from removing hostile trumps with what you lose from the partnership's own supply. A strong side suit may become useful after opposing trumps disappear, but stripping your partner can also remove a useful way to win later. Follow the cards already played rather than applying a permanent 'always draw trump' rule.
