Cribbage: Equal Counting Values Do Not Make a Pair
A pair requires equal ranks. Face cards share a counting value of ten, but retain different ranks.

During pegging, a queen follows a king. The running count increases by ten, but no pair is formed. Replace the queen with another king and the pair condition is satisfied.
Keep rank and counting value in separate columns when checking the play. Converting both cards to ten too early destroys the information needed for the pair test.
