Cribbage: Resetting the Count Also Resets the Run Window
Pegging combinations do not continue across a reset to zero. Cards from the finished count cannot complete a run in the next count.

Pegging combinations do not continue across a reset to zero. Cards from the finished count cannot complete a run in the next count.
A count ends with a seven and an eight among its final cards. After the reset, the next player leads a nine. That nine does not score a three-card run with the old seven and eight.
Mark the reset explicitly. Without that boundary, an apparently attractive sequence can be assembled from cards that no longer belong to one scoring window.
