Cribbage: The Crib Uses a Stricter Flush Test
A crib flush requires the four crib cards and the starter to share a suit. A four-card crib flush alone scores nothing for flush.

A crib flush requires the four crib cards and the starter to share a suit. A four-card crib flush alone scores nothing for flush.
All four crib cards are diamonds, but the starter is a spade. There is no crib-flush award. With a diamond starter instead, the five-card suit group qualifies.
Do not transfer the ordinary hand's four-card flush rule into the crib. The cards may look equally tidy, but the scoring location changes the condition.
