Cribbage: The Jack Matches the Starter's Suit, Not Its Rank

The hand includes J♦ and the starter is 7♦. That suit match earns the nobs point. Changing the starter to 7♣ removes this particular award, while leaving the jack's ordinary counting value unchanged.
Check the jack's location and the starter's suit together. A picture-card count or a general red-colour match does not answer the nobs question.
