Cribbage: The Non-Dealer Counts Before the Dealer
Show order matters because the game can end as soon as a player reaches the target. The non-dealer counts before the dealer and crib.

Show order matters because the game can end as soon as a player reaches the target. The non-dealer counts before the dealer and crib.
Both players are near the finish. The non-dealer's hand reaches the winning total first. A large uncounted crib does not postpone that finish or let the dealer compare a hypothetical later score.
Follow the actual scoring order. Adding every remaining hand before deciding the winner changes an immediate-finish game into an end-of-round comparison.
