Does Hi Rummy use rummy rules? Its creator describes card comparison
danielatiu09’s Hi Rummy description centres on short card-comparison rounds. The name alone does not establish classic rummy rules or identify namesake platforms.
The creator does not centre sets and sequences
On itch.io, danielatiu09 has published an Android work named Hi Rummy. Its description emphasises short card-comparison rounds for entertainment. This identifies a particular work and shows that Rummy in the name cannot determine its rummy rule variant.

Readers expecting traditional rummy organised around sets and sequences may form the wrong expectation from the name. The reason for the name is unclear; mechanics should follow the creator’s description, not deductions from the title.

Simple rules still leave gaps
The description summarises the core experience but not every edge case. Equal values, special cards and changes between rounds need specific rules or current screens. An apparently simple introduction does not justify supplying another familiar game’s complete rules.

This is why tutorials cannot simply be borrowed between card games. Even with playing cards on both screens, objectives and end conditions may differ. An example valid in one work may fail in another.
Separate the creator’s page from namesake platforms
This is danielatiu09’s work page, not an automatic representative of other Hi Rummy websites. Its stated entertainment purpose also cannot be transferred to unidentified external products.
The clearest account names the creator before discussing this version. The public description gives a gameplay direction, not a full feature inventory. Fuller rules would allow analysis of specific differences from traditional rummy; a familiar category should not be imposed first.
