Euchre: A Lone Hand Needs All Five for Four Points
A lone maker's five-trick sweep earns four points in standard North American Euchre. Taking only three or four earns the ordinary one point.

A lone maker's five-trick sweep earns four points in standard North American Euchre. Taking only three or four earns the ordinary one point.
A player goes alone and wins four tricks. The declaration alone does not earn four points; the result earns one. A fifth win would have completed the sweep and changed the award to four.
Treat going alone as a change in participation and scoring opportunity. It is not an automatic multiplier for every successful result.
