Euchre: A Non-Trump Suit May Have No Jack
When a jack becomes the left bower, it leaves its printed suit for that hand. The remaining non-trump cards retain their ordinary order.

Clubs are trump. J♠ is therefore a club, leaving A♠, K♠, Q♠, 10♠ and 9♠ in the spade suit of the 24-card pack. In a spade trick without trump, Q♠ beats 10♠; no spade jack sits between the queen and ten.
Write out the remaining suit if the missing rank causes confusion. Moving one card changes membership without promoting the queen above the king.
