Euchre: A Trump Call Ends the Calling Round
Euchre's trump selection is not a bidding contest in which later players can offer a stronger suit. A valid acceptance or suit call settles trump.

The player to the dealer's left orders up diamonds. The next player cannot replace diamonds with spades simply because their spades look better. The dealer completes the pickup and discard, and the hand proceeds with diamonds as trump.
The important question is whether the call was valid when made. Once it was, later players do not receive a chance to outbid it.
