Euchre: Defenders Need Three Tricks to Euchre the Makers
The makers commit to a majority of Euchre's five tricks. If they fail, the defending partnership receives two points under standard partnership scoring.
The makers commit to a majority of Euchre's five tricks. If they fail, the defending partnership receives two points under standard partnership scoring.
The makers take two tricks and the defenders take three. Award two points to the defenders. Do not give the makers points for the two tricks they managed to win: those tricks did not meet their commitment.
Count the makers' result first, then select the scoring outcome. The two teams are not paid a point for each individual trick.
