Euchre: Four Tricks Do Not Score More Than Three
In ordinary partnership Euchre, the makers earn one point for taking three or four of the five tricks. The next scoring step requires all five.

A team calls hearts and takes four tricks. Its score for the hand is one, not two. Winning the fourth trick has not completed the five-trick sweep needed for the larger award.
Separate the number of tricks from the points written on the score sheet. A four-to-one trick result is still a one-point scoring result for the makers.
