Euchre: Leading the Left Bower Requires Trump Followers
A lead of the left bower is a trump lead in 24-card Euchre. Followers use its effective suit, not its printed one.

Diamonds are trump and the first player leads J♥. Another player holds 9♦ and A♥. They must play a diamond if able; the heart ace does not follow this lead. Here, 9♦ supplies the required suit.
This is the same suit obligation as a lead of any other diamond. Calling the lead a heart would create a wrong legal-play decision before the trick is even compared.
