Euchre: The Left Bower Changes Suit for the Hand
The other jack of the same colour becomes the left bower in 24-card Euchre. It belongs to the trump suit during that hand.

Spades are trump, so J♣ functions as a spade. A player holding J♣ and no other clubs is not considered to hold a club for following a club lead. If spades are led, that jack is a trump they must account for.
Read its effective suit before checking whether a player can follow. The printed club symbol does not override the bower rule.
