FN7.COM: A Screenshot Without the Question

A clear screenshot can still omit the question. Recover the puzzle’s instruction before deciding what its cards are meant to show.

A WhatsApp message contains four cards and the caption “Which one?” The picture is sharp, but the actual task is missing.

The cards are 2♣, 3♣, 4♣ and K♦. “Choose the highest rank” and “remove the card outside the sequence” happen to point to the king.

An answer cannot supply the missing question

That coincidence does not establish what the sender intended. A correct-looking answer can still answer an invented question.

Ask for the instruction that appeared above the picture. A full screenshot or a typed sentence is more useful than guessing the missing task.

Now change the picture to 2♣, 3♣, 4♣ and A♦. If ace order is unspecified, even “highest” needs more context.

Write the agreed rank order beside the question. The image supplies cards; the instruction supplies the relationship you are asked to judge.

Forward the instruction too

Before forwarding, keep the original question attached to the picture. Cropping away instructions may make an explanation impossible to verify.

If part of the image is unreadable, name the uncertain card explicitly. Do not silently substitute the card that would make your preferred answer work.

The group writes a useful caption: “Using the stated ace-high order, identify the highest-ranked card.” Everyone now has the same task.

A helpful game message contains the picture, the rule and the question. Good sharing preserves the information another reader needs, not just the attractive part of the screen.
