Getaway: Stop Playing as Soon as the Trick Is Interrupted
After the opening, a player unable to follow may play another suit, ending the trick immediately. Players still waiting do not add cards just to complete a four-card picture.

Watch each response before reaching for your own card. An early interruption can leave your intended discard in hand and change who leads next. Playing automatically around the whole table creates an illegal extra action; the number of active players does not guarantee that everyone acts in every trick.
