Gin Rummy: Equal Deadwood Favours the Opponent of the Knocker
For an ordinary non-gin knock, equal final deadwood counts constitute an undercut. Equality is not automatically a drawn hand.

For an ordinary non-gin knock, equal final deadwood counts constitute an undercut. Equality is not automatically a drawn hand.
The knocker has six deadwood. The opponent also ends on six after arranging cards. There is no deadwood difference to add, but the agreed undercut bonus still belongs to the opponent.
State the bonus convention separately because versions use different amounts. The important comparison here is that equal counts do not protect the knocker from an undercut.
