Gin Rummy: Knocking on the First Turn Is Still Knocking
An eligible ordinary knock does not require several turns to have elapsed. The completed draw-and-discard position supplies the relevant deadwood count.

An eligible ordinary knock does not require several turns to have elapsed. The completed draw-and-discard position supplies the relevant deadwood count.
A player's first draw allows a final ten-card arrangement with seven deadwood. Under the ordinary ten-or-less threshold, the player may knock now. Waiting for a second turn is not an additional basic requirement.
Check the completed hand rather than the age of the deal. Speed of completion does not make an otherwise valid knock premature.
