Indian Rummy: Watch What the Next Player Takes
If the next player takes 9♥ from the discard pile, that card has entered a hidden hand. It could support a run or a set; the pickup does not reveal the entire combination.

Before discarding 8♥, compare its usefulness to your own hand with the connection the pickup suggests. Do not declare it dangerous with certainty, and do not forget it happened. One public action supports a limited inference. Several related pickups can strengthen that inference, while an unseen stock draw cannot be read the same way.
