A partnership that captures three tens wins the deal in the stated Mendikot rules. Taking many tricks without those cards does not substitute for that result.

Identify when a ten enters the trick before deciding how much strength to spend. A cheap trick can still supply the next lead, but its strategic value is different from a trick carrying the third ten. Keep the team's captured tens visible in your memory rather than relying only on the trick count.
