Rummy 365: A Week of Notes That Became More Useful Than a Score
Follow a seven-day practice notebook focused on explanations, fresh examples and the reasons behind errors. Each short session has a different job.

Monday and Tuesday: give a reason, then test it
On Monday, open a notebook and write one question above a simple Rummy arrangement: “Why is this group valid?” The Rummy 365 week begins with an explanation, not a target for how many puzzles to finish.
Use 4♣, 5♣, 6♣. Write that the ranks are consecutive and the suit stays the same. If your first answer is only “because they go together”, keep it visible and add the more precise explanation underneath.

Tuesday changes just the middle card to 5♦. Ask what has stopped being true. The ranks remain consecutive, but the suit condition fails. This entry checks whether Monday's words describe a real test you can apply.
Wednesday to Friday: change the example
On Wednesday, close the previous pages and examine 9♥, 10♥, J♥. Explain the group without referring to the earlier numbers. A correct answer on a fresh example is more informative than repeating Monday's sentence from memory.
Thursday introduces a set: Q♣, Q♦, Q♥. The rank stays the same while the suits differ. Put the sequence explanation beside the set explanation and underline the conditions that change between them.
On Friday, ask a friend to provide one valid group and one invalid group. Do not ask them to announce which is which. Identify the group type first, then test its conditions and explain your decision aloud.

The weekend: choose the next problem
Saturday belongs to the notebook's errors. Choose one wrong answer and write what caused it: missed suit, missing rank, mistaken group type or unclear wording. “Careless” is less useful because it does not tell you what to check next.
On Sunday, build a new example that would expose that specific mistake. If you missed a suit on Tuesday, use different ranks and move the mismatched suit to another position. Keep the underlying condition while changing the surface clues.
By the end of Sunday, the seven entries show what you can explain, where you still hesitate and which fresh example deserves another attempt. Circle one unresolved question. That small mark gives the next session a purpose before you open another set of cards.
Continue the Rummy 365 notebook by choosing the next question from an actual unresolved error. Your next page might concern card counts, a joker's assigned role or an entire thirteen-card arrangement. Let the notes choose the lesson instead of repeating the easiest example.
