Spades: A Partnership Bid Is a Shared Target
In partnership Spades, the partners' bids form the team's trick target. Their eventual trick counts need not match their individual bids.

In partnership Spades, the partners' bids form the team's trick target. Their eventual trick counts need not match their individual bids.
One partner bids two and the other bids four. They later win one and five tricks respectively. Their six combined tricks meet the team target, although the first player won fewer than announced.
Keep ordinary team bidding separate from Nil, which has an individual zero-trick condition. A shared target does not turn every declaration into an individual contract.
