Spin 2x: Two Reveals Needed Two Entries
A two-card observation exercise keeps trials, cards and predictions separate, so a double display does not become a misleading success count.

A worksheet headed Spin 2x asks learners to predict the colour of two separately drawn cards. Vikash writes one word, “red”, then celebrates when one card is red and the other black. The score cannot be interpreted until the prediction's meaning is fixed.
Which event was predicted?
Did he predict both cards red, at least one red, or only the first card red? Those are different claims. Writing a single colour without naming the event leaves room to choose the most flattering interpretation afterwards.

The teacher resets the exercise before making any evaluation. The next form has two boxes, first draw and second draw. Each prediction is recorded before either card is revealed, and the drawing procedure is written above the boxes.
For this worksheet, a drawn card is returned and the complete pack is shuffled before the second draw. That reset is part of the stated model, not something readers should assume about an unrelated product.
Record each answer separately
Vikash predicts red for the first and black for the second. The cards are 4♦ and Q♥. The first prediction is correct and the second incorrect. The worksheet records one correct prediction out of two.
He cannot call the whole pair correct simply because it contains a red card. That would replace two specific predictions with the weaker “at least one red” event after seeing the evidence.

If the group wants to study that weaker event, it can define it before a separate trial. It would need a different result column, because counting correct card-by-card predictions is not the same as checking a pair-level event.
The display does not define the unit
The display places both revealed cards side by side, but the layout does not decide the counting unit. Clear labels do. A visual pair can represent two trials, one combined event or another stated task.
Vikash's final note includes numerator and denominator: one correct colour prediction, two predictions made. This modest record is meaningful; a cheerful “won the double” caption would hide the question actually tested.
The Spin 2x exercise is about defining success before observing it. When several results appear together, name the unit, write the prediction precisely and keep that definition unchanged after the reveal.
