On 7 June 2017 at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Aditya Sushant and Nipun Java won Event #10: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em. They defeated 843 teams for $150,637 and two gold bracelets.
WSOP’s own release called them the first Indian-born bracelet winners. They played as “Team India.” Sushant still lived in India; Java was based in the Los Angeles poker scene.
The final hand, as reported by PokerNews / PokerGuru: Sushant called an all-in and rivered an ace to beat trip eights — a classic pressure finish, not a slow grind narrative.
We place this under Bluff because the public story is India’s first bracelet moment built on late-street courage — the same skill fantasy bluff players train when they practise fold equity and timing.
