WIN379: A Recorded Practice Score May Be Outside the Leaderboard
A player earns 8 points in practice and 6 in a qualifying exercise.

Editorial note: This is a conditional card-rule teaching example, not a verified description of the named platform.
A player earns 8 points in practice and 6 in a qualifying exercise. If a teaching leaderboard counts only qualifying exercises, its entry is 6. Adding the two scores would answer a different question. This WIN379 example separates score recording from ranking eligibility.
Two checks before addition
First identify which activities belong to the ranking period and category. Then calculate the score using only eligible records. A correctly recorded result can still be excluded because it belongs to practice or to another period.
Visibility does not establish eligibility
An activity history may show both results so that the player can review them. Their presence on the same screen does not make them part of the same total. Equally, exclusion from a leaderboard does not prove that the practice result was lost.
An explanation should identify the inclusion rule before presenting arithmetic. The example uses non-monetary learning scores and an expressly assumed eligibility condition. It does not claim that WIN379 has this leaderboard, or that any real score receives a reward.
