Winning on Points Does Not Mean Winning More Hands
Hand wins and accumulated points can produce different leaders. The competition must specify which measure decides the overall result.

Hand wins and accumulated points can produce different leaders. The competition must specify which measure decides the overall result.
In a teaching match, A wins two hands worth one point each. B wins one hand worth five points. A has more hand wins, while B has more points. Both descriptions are correct because they count different things.
If the match awards victory by total points, B leads. If it uses the number of hands won, A leads. Do not switch measures after seeing which player benefits. Write the deciding condition before adding the results, and keep the other measure as supporting information.
